Former Gunners Footballer Thomas Partey Pleads Not Guilty to Rape Charges
Thomas Partey, previously of the Premier League club, has entered a not culpable plea to five counts of rape and one count of non-consensual act at Southwark Crown Court.
The 32-year-old is alleged of assaulting two women and sexually assaulting a third woman. The alleged offenses are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022, while his time with the North London club.
During a plea and preparation hearing on Wednesday, Partey stated his name, date of birth, and pleaded not guilty.
His court appearance came after his involvement as a substitute for the Spanish side in a Champions League match against Tottenham on Tuesday night.
The presiding judge stated: “Your trial will take place at this court on November 2nd, 2026. I appreciate that is quite a long way in advance. Due to the accumulation of cases, trials are delayed.”
Release conditions was approved under the same terms as previously, which require no contact with the alleged victims and informing police of any address changes. He still play for the Ghana team.
Partey joined the English club in 2020 from Atlético Madrid in a deal valued at £45m. Partey subsequently transferred to the Yellow Submarine in August on a free transfer.
