Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Shoreline
A chopper hovering over a crowded California shoreline abruptly began spiraling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm groves as onlookers looked on.
Recordings posted on social media depict the helicopter commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it becomes wedged among palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department said five persons were taken to hospital including two who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were still under review.
